Bandstand Pop Up Fun Fold Card

Welcome back to justBstamping! Today I’m thrilled to share a delightful new creation: the Bandstand Pop‑Up Fun Fold. This charming card folds flat for mailing yet unfolds into a striking, gazebo‑style pop‑up—perfect for surprising someone special.

Stamping Symphony Sale-a-bration Hop

There is no doubt that the Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set is my favourite Sale-a-bration item so far....although in all fairness the promotion just started a week ago, so I haven't had a lot of time to play with any of the other fabulous offerings yet!  Still, this set is so much fun that it has captured my attention ever since I received it. so I just had to share another Friendly Seagulls project with you all.  For this card I used all of the image sentiments in the stamp set, but paired them with a sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set.  

I started with 1.25" squares of watercolour paper, and added a wash to each square in Balmy Blue, Summer Splash, or Crushed Curry Inks.  I love the beachy-feel this technique, when paired with these colours, provides.

Then I added a little interest to each of the squares.  Some I added "bubbles", stamped in the same ink colour as the wash; others, I added shells (stamped in Wild Wheat Ink).

I stamped the three seagull images in Memento Ink and added Pool Party Blends for shading, along with Crushed Curry Blends for the beaks/feet.  I also stamped and coloured the fish images in colours to match their squares.  All of my stamped images are added to the squares with Dimensionals.

The squares are arranged on a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" Basic White Cardstock panel, with even borders all around.  My sentiment square is 2.25" x 2-3/8", and I added a Crushed Curry Ink wash to this piece.  I then stamped my sentiment in Balmy Blue on top, and added it to a mat of Pool Party Cardstock, and another piece of Whisper White Cardstock as well.  This was added to my Bermuda Bay base with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

Creation Station Celebrate Sale-a-bration Hop

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and kicked the new year off in style.  It's already the first Sunday of 2025 and so time for another Creation Station Hop.  This month we are sharing inspiration with Sale-a-bration goodies, which are free products earned with qualifying purchases.  I knew the Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set would be at the top of my list during pre-order, these guys are just too cute!

Creation Station Christmas Traditions

Welcome to another Creation Station blog hop!  This month's theme is Christmas Traditions, and since I always make a treat holder for the place settings at my family holiday table, this was the perfect chance to settle on this year's design.

Two weeks ago I decorated the outside of my house for Christmas, and one of my favourite decor pieces is this candle lantern that sits at my front door.  

I decided to use it as inspiration for my treat holders this year, and made this fun paper lantern stuffed with peppermint kisses.

We are mid-way through another month, which means it's time for another Stamping Symphony Instahop!  This month Sandy gave us a colour challenge as a jumping off point  But I decided to go with a more muted variation in this card:

Creation Station Stampin' Blends Blog Hop

That summer flew by!  I took a short hiatus for the month of August and am now happily back in my craft room and brimming with new ideas!  

I love my Blends, so I was happy to break out my favourite colours and pair them with some new Christmas stamps for a non-traditional holiday card.  How cute is this little wagon full of winter cheer?!  The image is from the new Filled With Cheer Stamp Set, which coordinates with an existing stamp set, Filled With Fun, and the Filled With Fun Dies.

Good gravy it is July already!  The world is green, the birds are singing and it's time to enjoy some sunshine.  It's also time to play with the Creation Station team again, and this month we are scouring the new annual catalogue for inspiration.

Stampin' Friends Lots of Layers Blog Hop

Good Morning Stampin' Friends.  It's time for another blog hop, and this theme is always one of my favourites--Lots of Layers!  My project has a grand total of 11 layers, which I think meets the challenge nicely. :)

Stamping Symphony Clean & Simple InstaHop

Our Stamping Symphony InstaHop theme this month was "clean and simple"--which is not my forte!  I love layers and embellishments and textures, which tend to make for busier cards than fit within the definition of clean and simple.  So this is simple-with-a-twist, which I hope you like!

#TGIFC476 Colour Challenge

It's been a long time since I've been able to play with the TGIF Challenges, but this week I was able to squeeze out some time to play along.  It's a colour challenge this week, with colours (Azure Afternoon, Pumpkin Pie & Basic Grey) that I don't naturally gravitate to--so a fun challenge to take on!  I just received some new paper so I was excited to break into that pack of Take To The Sky DSP and get creative.

Here we are in June already, and another Creation Station Blog Hop.  The new annual catalogue is still hot off the press, and I'm having so much fun playing with all my new products!  This month's hop theme is a colour challenge--one in colour + one core colour--so the potential is endless.  I decided I need to use my favourite new in colour, Petunia Pop, and the beautiful Thoughtful Journey DSP as a jumping off point, adding some accents in classic Smoky Slate for my project.

Stampin' Friends Celebrating Men Blog Hop

Father's Day is almost upon us, so it's time for the Stampin' Friends to break out our ideas on masculine projects.  I'm all about the Country Birdhouse Suite right now as I design for my Summer Camp Retreat, so I challenged myself to create a father's day card using this suite for this month's hop.  

Stamping Symphony New In Colour InstaHop

Happy May my friends!  Spring is in full swing and all of the blooms are finally popping, providing a great backdrop for creating with the new 2024-2026 In Colours.  These bright and cheerful colours are just what I need to help leave the gloom of winter behind!  Our Stamping Symphony team is highlighting the 5 new colours--Pretty In Pink, Petunia Pop, Summer Splash, Shy Shamrock, and Peach Pie--for our theme this month, so get ready for some fun!

My card also features a new core colour, Basic Beige, which has quickly become my go-to neutral choice.  It has such a subtle impact while blending seamlessly into the background.

Creation Station Heat Embossing Blog Hop

It's time for another Creation Station Blog Hop and this month we're sharing projects with one of my favourite techniques--heat embossing.  The magic of this melting powder was the "wow" that turned me onto card making when I first started out almost 20 years ago.  I just had to know how that was done!  And it continues to be a go-to for me now.  There are a lot of different outcomes you can achieve with heat embossing, but one of my favourites these days is white embossing with shading from Blends markers.

Monochromatic Hop with the Stampin' Friends and Nature's Sweetness DSP

I love a monochromatic card, a simple colour palette with papers that just speak for themselves can make crafting so much easier!  I had to use my favourite in colour, Pebbled Path, so I went looking through my stash for papers to match and easily landed on the Nature's Sweetness DSP.  Add in a fun fold, and my project for this month's Stampin' Friends blog hop almost made itself!
