Bandstand Pop Up Fun Fold Card

Welcome back to justBstamping! Today I’m thrilled to share a delightful new creation: the Bandstand Pop‑Up Fun Fold. This charming card folds flat for mailing yet unfolds into a striking, gazebo‑style pop‑up—perfect for surprising someone special.

In previous projects I’ve loved the element of surprise that fun folds bring. This time around, the Bandstand design takes center stage. Inspired by tutorials like Dawn’s “Bandstand Pop‑Up Fold Card” dawnsstampingthoughts.net and topped with my own embellishments, this version brings a fresh twist—combining classic structure with whimsical flair.

Here are the step-by-step instructions and measurements, and you can view my assembly reel on Instagram here:  

STEP 1:   Cardstock 1 (4.25 x 5-3/8) – score on long side at 0.75” each end

STEP 2:  DSP 2 (4-1/8 x 5) – cut at 5/8, 3.75, (leaves 5/8 remaining)

STEP 3:  Glue DSP to base between score lines

STEP 4: Cardstock 1 (2.5 x 7) – score at 0.75, 2.5, 4.5, 6.25; THEN, cut in half on short side at 1.25

STEP 5:  DSP 1:  1-1/8 x 6-3/8 – cut at 5/8, 1-5/8, 1-7/8, 1-5/8, (5/8 remains) * repeat for second strip, keep pieces in order

STEP 6:  Glue DSP to scored strips between score lines
