Creation Station Scraps & Leftovers Blog Hop

I typically don't have a lot of scraps and leftovers on my desk when I'm done creating....I guess I tend to tidy as I go when it comes to bits and pieces!  However, I was up for the challenge for this month's Creation Station Blog Hop and didn't put away the leftovers from making my projects for the blog hop I participated in last week.  It left me with some great items to make this project!

You may have hopped to me from Kathy Brown Kartak--if so, welcome!  The design team always inspires me each month, I hope you're loving what you have seen so far.  Don't forget to hop along to the next project by clicking the link below after leaving me a comment of course ;)

The tiny flowered paper is from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack.  The paper has a rainbow of colours, and I used the pink/red/yellow part for a previous card, so I had the blues and purples leftover.  This fun fold was shared at our team meeting in April and makes great use of small pieces of paper, so I thought it would be perfect!

Base 1 is a piece of Pool Party Cardstock cut to 4.25" x 9.25" and scored on the long side at 3/8", 1-3/8", 2-7/8" and 3-7/8".  Base 2 is also Pool Party cardstock (although you could mix your colours if you prefer) cut to 5-1/8" x 3.25" and scored on the long side at 3.75" and 4.75".  Those score lines help the cardstock fold up into a square so the card stands.

I added layers of the DSP from the Hues of Happiness pack matted on Basic White cardstock.  That beautiful ombre pattern is also from this paper pack!

I had a leftover label from the All That Dies cut from Basic White cardstock that I used for my sentiment, which is from the new Happiness Abounds Stamp Set (which coordinates with the DSP!).  I used my new Orchid Oasis ink pad, which is one of five new In Colours Stampin' Up! has introduced this year!

I had lots of fussy cut flowers left over from making several projects with this Hues of Happiness DSP so I added a bunch of blooms in coordinating colours behind my label and attached it with dimensionals to the smaller card base.  I also added some of the new In Colour Ribbon in Orchid Oasis.  And of course some bling with the Glossy Dots Assortment!

The back of this fun fold provides the space to write your personalized message.  I used a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock and layered a piece of Basic White on top, along with a small scrap of DSP and one more fussy cut flower.

It's been so fun seeing everyone's scraps-and-leftovers projects this month!  I hope you are inspired to use up some of the pieces laying on your desk today too.  For more inspiration, hop along to Sarah Nell Langland at Sarah's Stampin' Spot by clicking the Next Up Button below!

Happy Crafting,
Barb
