This week I am showcasing projects using the Vine Design stamp set and coordinating Flowering Vine dies. I missed these dies my first several times through the Jan - June mini....it wasn't until I saw someone else's project back in January that I knew they existed! I am all about delicate, detailed dies and couldn't wait to get my hands on them!
I started with a top-folding white cardstock base and added a piece of So Saffron plaid DSP cut to 4" x 5.25". On top of that I have another layer of white cardstock, cut at 3.5" x 5" and which I embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. This is a great folder to add just a little texture to your background, and gives a watercolour paper look.
The dies come in three shapes--oval, circle, and rectangle--with a similar pattern of intricate florals. For today's card I used the oval, which I cut from Soft Sea Foam, and I think resembles a beautifully decorated Easter egg.
I tied some Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon, which comes in white, around my card after colouring it with my Highland Heather Blends. This is a great way to make a matching ribbon for any project!
I coloured a bunny image from the Oval Occasions stamp set with just touches of Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam Blends, and added Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the centre of each flower. I added them to my prepared card base with dimensionals to create some depth.
