Isn't it sweet? Can you guess which stamp set it features?
That lovely little "Ho Ho Ho" was made by masking the "Hooray" stamp set from Broadway Birthday stamp set. :)
Masking is an easy way to get more mileage from your stamps: attach a sticky note over the part of the stamp you don't want to use; ink the uncovered part of the stamp; remove the sticky note, and stamp. Easy peesy lemon squeezy!
I heat embossed the first two letters of the "Hooray" stamp in Whisper White embossing powder across a strip of Basic Black, to represent Santa's belt.
The rest of my card is very simple, but it also features two new embossing folders--the Tufted Textured Impressions Folder (making the fabric of Santa's coat), and the Subtle Embossing Folder, which I used to provide just a touch of texture on the Whisper White panel.
I added three black die cut circles from the new Stitched Label Framelits to represent buttons, and a shiny Silver Glimmer Paper belt buckle made from two nesting Layered Squares dies.
I sponged the edges of the Real Red cardstock with Cherry Cobbler ink to add some extra depth, and then popped up the black strip on dimensionals.
I think it is a really cute way to wish someone the best of the Season. And maybe I even have a head start on my Christmas crafting... :)
