Paper Pumpkin Info Night

So I have just finished up my very first Stampin' Up demonstrator event and I am pooped!  We had a house full of friends and kids, a lot of chatting, and some crafting--a perfect night in my opinion :)   Introducing the group to Paper Pumpkin worked out well all around I think, as it is such a great product and an incredible deal right now at 50% off!  I spent the last several days putting together some past Paper Pumpkin kits so that I could showcase the variety and versatility of the kit.  It was fun and challenging to come up with some alternatives to what the kit was "supposed" to be.

I've included some photos below....first up, it just didn't seem right to talk about Paper Pumpkin without having a paper pumpkin or two on display!

I made a July 2014 kit into several cards, several boxes (including an extended one filled with Hershey's kisses), and a small box with a few notecards.  Such a great kit, and one I'm glad that I purchased a refill kit for, as I can see it being great for Christmas as well.

This is another favourite....I made 4 different gift bags (and I still have one left to play with!).  I'm not sure which one I like best.  I love how the ombre rosettes turned out--I reversed the handle so it carries like a purse.  I also made a few coordinating gift cards, just to show what can be done with the stamp set after the kit has been made.

Finally, I made up an example of the August kit with some variations.  Does anyone remember the old Sesame Street game/song "One of these things just doesn't belong here, one of these things just isn't the same?"  It's not hard to pick out the thing that doesn't belong in this picture!  I loved the cream gift box with the gold dots, and it just screamed out Christmas to me, so I had to make one box using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and some retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  I'm so happy with how it turned out!  We each made one pink card, one gold card, and one gift box as per the instructions included in the kit.

Now I'm ready for the long weekend and one last day on vacay with my kids.  I can't believe the summer is over already.  We should probably get some back to school shopping done tomorrow!

I hope you've enjoyed my very first blog post!  I had a blast planning my first event to coincide with this, and want to thank the ladies who joined me tonight.  Until next time, I'll justBstamping!
