Stamping Symphony Saleabration Spotlight

Welcome to my blog and the Stamping Symphony Saleabration Spotlight--how's that for a tongue twister?!  It may be tricky to say but my card this month is super easy to make, and features my favourite Saleabration die set, Tree Lot Dies:

Camper Colourful Clouds

How adorable is that camper???  I can't get enough of it.  The Tree Lot Dies may be paired with an (amazing) holiday stamp set, but that doesn't mean you can't use it all year long!  I decided to show it off with an unexpected colour palette for my project today, using Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya.

But let's start at the beginning!  My card base is a piece of Thick Basic White cut to 4.25" x 11" and scored at 5.5".  I glued two, 1" strips of the a floral pattern in the Hues of Happiness DSP pack to each edge of my card front--this is a great way to get a lot of mileage out of your DSP, without wasting an inch!

I took a piece of Basic White Cardstock cut to 4" x 5.75" and blended my colourful cloud background with my Blending Brushes and a stencil I made from the cloud border in the Basic Borders Dies set.  I started at the top with my Pale Papaya Ink and slowly moved my stencil down, switching to Polished Pink Ink about 1/3 of the way down, and then to Fresh Freesia Ink for the bottom third.  These colours make me so happy!

Each of my campers is die cut using the Tree Lot Dies and Thick Basic White Cardstock.  Then I cut the top and bottom pieces from the plaid pattern in the 2021-2023 In Colour 6" x 6" DSP pack in each colour to coordinate with my clouds.

I trimmed my cloudy background to 3 3/8" wide, and glued it to my card base, and then I popped each of my campers up on Dimensionals, evenly spaced top to bottom.  For an extra touch I die cut the tiniest window curtain in matching Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and glued them into the window openings.  They are so stinking cute!!  And I love that the curtains add to the 3D look of the camper because they are glued right onto the card base, adding a lot of depth.

For my sentiment I heat embossed "Just For You" in White Embossing Powder on a Night of Navy circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It's hard to see in the pictures but in real life the piercing around the circle adds just the right amount of texture.  The sentiment itself is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set.

The final touches include a pretty bow made from White Glittered Organdy Ribbon that I cut into thirds (so each piece is about 1/8" wide) and several Polished Dots, which are now retired :( but could be replaced with Opal Rounds.

And the inside of my card is blank, so this can be used for any occasion.  I added another strip of the Hues of Happiness DSP to decorate and tie it into the design on the front.

New this month we are having a #Instahop in addition to our blog hop!  You can keep hopping to each blog below, and then head over to Instagram to see more.  Join me at @justBstamping to see the list of all the instahoppers.
