Three Little Bunnies (Stamping Symphony Blog Hop)

We have run the gamut of spring weather this weekend--from the loveliest to the dreariest!  Regardless of what is happening outside your window our blog hop this month is going to help you feel the Spring.  :)

At my card class this week we made three Easter cards which I wanted to share with you today.  My favourite features little punch art bunnies which I have used several times already this spring.

Aren't their little gingham ears too cute?!?  I used the Gingham Gala paper for my card but you could use the Buffalo Check stamp set to create gingham in any colour you like.

I started by punching each bunny out of the DSP with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (it's not just for gingerbread men you know!).  I then trimmed and snipped until I was left with the bunny shape.  I used one of the many faces from the Foxy Friends stamp set and Smoky Slate on Whisper White paper and then cut them out with a 1" circle punch.  I used my Flirty Flamingo Blends marker to add a little blush to their cheeks.

The card base is made from Highland Heather cardstock, which is such a pretty shade of purple and matches the middle bunny's gingham and ribbon bow perfectly.  I layered a panel of white on top that I embossed with the Basket Weave folder (although it is hard to see in the picture).  I added another smaller panel from the Pastels Paper Pack, which includes sheets of all my favourite colours.  I lightly inked around the outside with Pear Pizzazz and a sponge dauber.

And a card isn't finished at my house until the inside has seen a little love too!

As always we made two other projects during the class, including a "chocolate" version of the bunny and some punch art eggs hiding in the grass.

Still feeling the need for Spring?  Join me at my Spring Sampler workshop and make a decorative piece that is sure to brighten your spirits on rainy spring days.  Link to the details is in the header above.

Fun coming your way!

I'm so excited to offer my first sampler class--focusing on Spring!  If you are like me this weekend has gotten you ssoooo ready for some sun and flowers and birds.  We've had just a taste of the warmth, now bring on the sunshine to go with it!

While we wait for Mother Nature to cooperate we will have to make our own sunshine, and this pastel floral sampler hit the spot for me.

This workshop will use a lot of fun products and you'll leave with a completed project ready to frame and display in your home (frame not included).  See my "SPRING Sampler" page for more details (button at the top on the menu).

Also coming your way are these fun shaker cards at my monthly Techniques class (Thursday, April 25, 7pm).  I'll teach you how to make these great interactive cards, designed to use for all your spring events:  birthday, wedding and graduation.

You can RSVP for the shaker class on my website too!
